What is YouClip?
YouClip is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that turns raw footage into short-form vertical video with karaoke captions. It transcribes your footage, trims it to the part worth posting, keeps the speaker in frame, and burns in word-synced captions, then exports at 1080x1920 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. It also edits multi-camera shoots (2 to 4 angles, synced and cut automatically), finds the best moments in a long stream or podcast and cuts each into its own short, renders a whole folder of clips in one queue, adds background music and your watermark, and dubs the voiceover and captions into 13 languages (beta).
Can it edit a multi-camera podcast?
Yes. Drop in 2 to 4 cameras of the same session and YouClip lines them up by their audio — no clapperboard needed — works out who is speaking, and cuts between the angles for you. You set the pace, how often it goes wide, and whether it cuts to reaction shots, and you can override any shot before it renders a 1080p master. That master then goes straight into clipping, and the transcript carries over so you are not charged to transcribe it twice.
Does it keep the speaker in frame when it goes vertical?
Yes. Vertical clips track the active speaker automatically, and switch to a split frame when two people are trading lines. If you want a different framing, you can drag the crop, keyframe it, zoom it, or swap which speaker holds the frame — and the preview shows exactly what will export.
Can I render a whole folder of clips at once?
Yes. Bulk mode takes a folder of clips, applies one caption style, watermark and music setup to all of them, and renders the queue unattended. Save that setup as a preset (or paste in a share code) and every batch comes out consistent.
Is this a subscription?
Yes — simple monthly plans (Creator, Studio, Agency) that top up your tokens each month. Unused tokens roll over (you can bank up to two months' allowance), and you can buy one-off top-ups any time.
What's a token worth?
Tokens buy render minutes at a flat rate: 1 token per 2 minutes to find the moments in a long recording, 5 tokens a minute to edit one clip, and 5 more a minute for each language you dub into. Minutes round up, and you always see the exact price before you render.
What if a render fails?
Tokens are held when a render starts and returned automatically if it doesn't finish. You only pay for clips you actually get.
Which platforms is the app on?
It's a desktop app for macOS and Windows. Sign in with the account you make here and your tokens are ready straight away.
Can I change my email or password?
Yes. Both live in Account settings in your dashboard, and you can change them any time.
Do I need to pay to try it?
No. Every account gets free tokens each month — enough to scan a long recording and export real clips before you buy anything.
